Dr Rashmi Sanghi is a Senior Research Fellow and heading the Water Resources Centre (WRC) at Indian Institute of Sustainable Development (IISD) New Delhi. She is also the additional Project Investigator to Leh’s IISD Water Audit Project, i.e going on now. In addition, she is leading several IISD initiatives in Water Resources Management and Water Sustainability.
She is a doctorate in organic chemistry from Allahabad University. Till 2018 she worked at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur as a Research Scientist and Punjab Engineering College Chandigarh. She was a visiting scientist/faculty at the Rutgers University USA 1996 and Chandigarh College of Architecture, Chandigarh.
She is the recipient of CHEMRAWN VII- 2012 IUPAC international Prize for Atmospheric and Green Chemistry award (IUPAC AWARD).She has travelled worldwide for various academic activities and has over 85 international journal publications, two patents and six books to her credit with a high h index of 39 (Google Scholar Tracker). Her latest book is about the Ganga river “Our National River Ganga: Lifeline of Millions”, published by Springer.
